Netflix Unveils 2018 Watching Statistics
Streaming giant Netflix has published several lists today looking at the viewing habits of its users and announced that its original rom-com film “The Kissing Booth” and its series “On My Block” are its ‘most binged’ original works.
The release interestingly says half of all viewers who watched both “Kissing Booth” and their acclaimed teen rom-com “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” have re-watched them at least once. Another repeatable favorite is “Roxanne Roxanne,” however the streamer didn’t go into detail about any of its other films.
On the TV front the most binged shows are in order: “On My Block,” “Making a Murderer: Part 2,” “13 Reasons Why: Season 2,” “Last Chance U: Indy,” “Bodyguard,” “Fastest Car,” “The Haunting of Hill House,” “Anne with an E: Season 2,” “Insatiable,” and “Orange Is the New Black: Season 6”.
In addition, many of the cast of the foreign sexy soap hit “Elite” saw their social media profiles incredibly boosted by that show’s success, same with the members of the “Queer Eye” fab five, “All the Boys” couple Lana Condor & Noah Centineo, and comedian Hannah Gadsby.
As usual, Netflix isn’t giving out any viewing number specifics. The report comes as video-measurement firm 7Park Data reports that original content accounted for 37% of Netflix’s U.S. streams in October 2018, up from 24% a year earlier and 14% in January last year.
