Netflix’s “Ranch,” Amazon’s “Sneaky Pete” Axed
Netflix’s Ashton Kutcher-led multi-camera comedy series “The Ranch” will be coming to an end with its fourth season which has yet to set a premiere date.
Kutcher himself confirmed the news, saying the fourth season will consist of twenty episodes – ten to stream later this year and another ten in 2020. Kutcher, Sam Elliott and Elisha Cuthbert will all be reprising their roles for the final batch of episodes.
That’s not the only streaming service cancellation today as Amazon has cancelled the Bryan Cranston-produced drama “Sneaky Pete” after three seasons. The third season debuted last month.
Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland and Margo Martindale starred in the series which revolved around a released convict who adopts the identity of his cellmate.
The cancellations take place as streamers are coming under attack for axing even well-performing shows after the three season mark as studies have indicated only 7% of Amazon’s scripted originals make it to a fourth season.
