Marvel & Disney TV Series Halt Production

Marvel Studios is has halted work on its various Disney+ shows currently in production.

Specifically “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “Loki” and “WandaVision” have all shut down for now. For shows that are in pre-production, work will continue remotely.

‘Falcon’ was one of the first shows to delay production earlier in the week, its remaining Marvel shows are now following suit along with all its live-action films such as “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings”.

Disney Television Studios have also suspended production as the coronavirus crises continues. Shows impacted include “The Resident,” “Pose,” “Queen of the South,” “American Housewife” and the final season of “Empire”.

“Empire” only had a couple of weeks left to wrap its final season and the hope is to go back and complete production when possible. Other shows from the company like “9-1-1,” “black-ish” and “Modern Family” had already wrapped their seasons.

Also today, Starz has paused its spin-offs “Power Book II: Ghost” and “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” for at least one week, though there will be no postponement of the writer’s rooms. Hulu has also hit pause on “The Handmaid’s Tale” which is in the midst of filming its fourth season.

Other shutdowns to have been announced include TNT’s “Snowpiercer,” “Family Feud,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
